Mr. Darcy and I have been hard at work this week... oh ya, Mike helps, too - a lot! We've spent the better part of last weekend and this week tilling, sowing, mulching, raking, loading, and spreading.
This is the south side of our house... or as we like to call it, The Dessert. Nothing seems to want to grow in this ultra shaded dead-land. We brought in 5 cubic yards (translation : an entire dump-truck full) of enriched topsoil... We're crossing our fingers that we'll have grass soon.
We also tilled the area near the curb under these amazingly giant old trees. Our consultants have told us that the trees are sucking the nutrients out of the soil, making it very difficult for grass to grow... but we're trying!

Keep your fingers crossed... grass in T-5 days!
